People fascinate me. Familiar people and strangers. People who have a place in my heart, people who catch my attention. I enjoy focussing my camera on these people. For a short moment in time we are together. Without any commitment. Just together. I have my thoughts and they have theirs. And you have your thoughts when you see what I saw.

Focusing my camera at someone can be quite intimate. Sometimes it makes me feel vulnerable, sometimes strong and purposeful. The person I’m looking at, can feel vulnerable at the same time. But he or she can also feel strong and worth looking at. We make contact and with my camera I capture the moment, make it last, even though we might never meet again.
